For those who have extra time to explore Namibia, we offer an extended version of our Essential Namibia tour. The tour begins by heading south to the Kalari Desert, then    continues on to the Namib Desert and Swakopmund, a coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Next, the tour heads north to the grandiose landscapes of Spitzkoppe and Vingerklip, as well as the World Heritage site Twyfelfontein.

Of course, no trip to Namibia is complete without a safari, which is why the last week of the tour is dedicated to this unforgettable experience in the Etosha National Park and two private game reserves.

What To Expect

Get ready for an adventure! Upon arrival at Windhoek airport, our friendly local guide will greet you and help you shake off the travel cobwebs.

If you have some free time before we hit the road, you can stretch your legs after the long flight, take a stroll and explore Windhoek with an expert guide leading the way. There are a number of great local restaurants we recommend you try in the capital city of Namibia.

Your Namibia adventure will start with our guide driving you south to the Kalahari desert! After a few hour’s journey, you will arrive to the beautiful Kalahari and have a bit of time to freshen up and take in your surroundings.

As the sun sets, hop on a game drive and soak in the scenic beauty. And, that’s not all! You can pick from a bunch of optional activities to keep your heart racing, like walking with cheetahs, riding on horseback, meet and learn from the local San people (also known as Bushmen), cruising in the great outdoors, getting pampered at the spa, or participating on a star safari.

Get ready for an exciting day filled with an array of fun-filled activities. Choose between a cheetah adventure, horseback exploration, a nature walk with the bushmen, a scenic drive, or a relaxing spa treatment. After lunch, we’ll embark on a journey to the mesmerizing Namib Desert – another location where the aforementioned films take place.

Start your day bright and early with a visit to the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Take in the breathtaking views of the Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, some of the country’s most popular tourist attractions. After a relaxing lunch break at the lodge, head out for an afternoon visit to Sesriem Canyon or participate in an optional activity.

Enjoy a leisurely morning before departing for Swakopmund. Take in the stunning scenery as we travel through the Namib desert, with a photo opportunity and lunch break at Solitaire. If you’re feeling adventurous, try out one of our optional morning activities such as a hot air balloon safari, scenic drive, or self-guided hiking trail.

Swakopmund’s Atlantic coastline is teeming with marine life, embark on boat cruise the morning. Don’t forget to cross your fingers: you might just be fortunate enough to see some of the resident seals, dolphins or pelicans. In the afternoon, switch gears to an exciting 4×4 excursion at Sandwich Harbour – riding on sand dunes immersed in a stunning landscape between the ocean and the giant sand dunes.

Start your day with a range of optional activities to choose from, including sandboarding, quad biking, or camel riding. Later, your guide will transfer you from Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe. In the afternoon, embark on a guided hike to Spitzkoppe, where you’ll discover rock arches, rock pools, and rock art. You’ll also have the chance to visit the crystal market ran by the local community.

We will take you from Spitzkoppe to the renowned World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein. There, you will embark on a guided walk to witness the incredible ancient rock art. Following that, we will continue to the Living Museum of the Damara, where you will gain insight into the fascinating local culture.

Take the morning to yourself and choose from a variety of optional activities such as a guided hike or a dry river drive. In the afternoon your guide will take you to another fascinating location known as the “Monument Valley of Namibia” – Vingerklip.
