Essential Namibia 10 Days

Windhoek - Sossusvlei - Swakopmund - Spitzkoppe - Vingerklip - Okonjati Game Reserve

With its petrified, sun-blackened, dead trees and giant sculpted orange sanddunes, the Deadvlei (dead marsh) saltpan provides a dreamlike, other worldly landscape. The trees are estimated to be around 900 years old and due to the dry climate, they have not decomposed.

Deadvlei is the photographer’s heaven ,as the contrasts, lights, surreal shapes and intense colours create endless opportunities for creativity and great photographs. No trip to Namibia is complete without setting foot in the ancient Namib Desert. The conservation area of the Namib-Naukluft National Park covers about 50,000 km2.
